22 Years in the industry
After previously working for EESmith Contracts for 10 years then Thorpes Joinery for a further 7 I decided to start on my own. My father was a pattern maker and made the pattern for the Dinky toy E Type Jaguar. I was always inspired by his love of woodwork and engineering, so I went to university to get a degree in Interior Architecture and Design. Since then, I have held multiple positions, including Draughtsman, Senior Draughtsman and Project Manager.

32 Years in the industry
I have enjoyed woodwork from my childhood days, making copies of wooden toys that my Dad made for me. I decided to look for work in the joinery trade in 1990 and joined Thorpes of Great Glen, Bespoke Joinery and Furniture. I have gained years of experience working with skilled joiners. I decided to leave Thorpes in 2016 and set up on my own as a sole trader and started Rutland bespoke woodwork. I am a time served joiner.
